Tanaz has over 30 years' experience in the finance industry. Since migrating to New Zealand in 2001, she worked for a respected Trustee Company where she managed large portfolios for high net-worth clients under different structures – Trusts, Estates, and Individuals. Prior to moving to New Zealand, she worked in the foreign exchange and Treasury mid-office roles of a leading financial institution in India.
Tanaz joined Stuart Carlyon in 2022 and has found an excellent fit with Stuart Carlyon's holistic client centred approach to financial planning. In December 2025, she was thrilled to cement her commitment to Stuart Carlyon and accepted the invitation to take up a shareholding and partnering as a Principal in the company.
Tanaz served as a Committee Member of the Certification Committee of Financial Advice New Zealand for six years until June 2024.
Outside of work, she is active within her local community; Trustee for Tamaki Makaurau Hearing Trust, Trustee for Hearing Research Foundation (NZ) Trust and has served as a founding Trustee for Zoroastrian Community Trust of New Zealand for 12 years.
